According to the Area's constitution, we will be holding an Annual General Meeting (AGM) early in 2014. For the formal business of the meeting, each individual member of the Area and one representative of each affiliated local organisation in membership of the Area is entitled to attend and vote. The meeting shall:

(i) Consider the Annual Report of the Area Council ;

(ii) Consider the Area income and expenditure accounts for the preceding Association financial year, a balance sheet showing the assets and liabilities at the end of that year, and the independent examiner's report;

(iii) Appoint Honorary Area Officers;

(iv) Elect representatives of individual members to serve on the Area Council;

(v) Elect representatives of affiliated local organisations to serve on the Area Council;

(vi) Appoint representatives to General Council;

(vii) Appoint as independent examiner(s) qualified or other competent person(s);

(ix) Discuss and consider motions notice of which shall have been given in writing to the Secretary;

(x) Make recommendations to the Area Council , or any local Group of the Area, or consider motions for submission to the next Annual Meeting of the General Council of the Association (if so desired);

As last year, the Area will organise a number of morning walks converging on Camden for the AGM.

Check back here closer to the time for details of the walks and the agenda.

Walks to the Area AGM

As last year, volunteers will be leading a number of walks converging on the AGM.  The walks are open to everyone but, in order to get to know your fellow group members better we suggest that, if you've got an affiinity with a particular group you attend the walk suggested below:

Metropolitan and Capital Walkers - Meet 10am at St James Park Underground Station for a 6 mile walk starting St James Park tube, ending Camden Lock, and taking in Green Park, Hyde Park, Regents Park, Primrose Hill and the canal.  Easy walk on pavements and in London parks.

London Strollers  - From Kensal Green (Bakerloo Line), starting at 10.30.  The walk will (hopefully) include a short tour of Kensal Green Cemetery and then follow the Paddington Canal to Camden Lock where there will be time for a refreshment break before the AGM.

Other groups walks - At 10am, meet at Wood Green for a walk past Alexandra Palace and over Parliament and Primrose Hill with Chairman Alex.  Again, the walk is over good paths and there will be time for lunch before the AGM.
