Local Groups

The Inner London Area of the Ramblers is currently made up of seven local groups.

Ramblers members are normally allocated to their local group according to their postcode, but can request to join a different group if preferred.

Six of the seven Inner London groups are postcode based, whereas the Metropolitan Walkers (including its new initiative the Capital Walkers) is Area-wide, aimed at bringing together people who wish to walk with others of a similar age. Members who wish to join must specifically request that they be allocated to the Metropolian Walkers.

As well as extensive walks programmes, most of the groups also have social programmes, and some organise walking weekends away. See individual group sites for details.

Affiliated Clubs

In addition, there are other walking clubs in the London area that although not part of the Ramblers, are affiliated to it.
