There is construction work taking place on the edge of the playing fields at Harrow School. Walkers are being directed along a new fenced pathway that runs parallel to the track. Look out for the three Capital Ring signposts that you should follow to keep on track.
At the bottom of Football Lane turn left along the path (it is signed Capital Ring to Watford Road). Continue straight ahead for about 170 yards until you come to another Capital Ring signpost indicating a right turn. This leads across the track to join the path running beside a row of trees.
At the third sign (shown below looking back along the row of trees) you turn half left and follow the waymarks across grass beside more pitches, passing through a wooden kissing gate to reach the Watford Road.
