Hackney has opened a consultation about the borough's plans to upgrade the Capital Ring around the West Reservoir.
The plans include resurfacing works on the path round the west side of the reservoir which is shared by the Capital Ring and New River path as shown on the map on page 6 of our walk guidance for section 12.
The path here is currently in poor condition and will continue to deteriorate if not repaired soon, so the Borough intends to undertake resurfacing works throughout spring 2023 to provide a more accessible walking route around the reservoir.
