Walkers have been reporting on social media that the part of Section 12 that runs along the New River path has now reopened.
In recent years this section of path has become impassably muddy after wet weather - as shown by the dark and rutted mud in the first image.
Now Thames Water have re-engineered the path and finished it with an all weather surface so this part of section 12 should be walkable in all seasons - as shown in the second image.
