• Route: Capital Ring
  • Section#: 10

Much of the Capital Ring continues to be easily walkable even after all the recent rain. However we have had a report from a group of walkers that section 10, from South Kenton to Hendon Park, is very muddy in places, with boots sinking in deeply in some parts. There are waterlogged fields too, particularly at Fryent Country Park and Gotfords Hill.

April update: This section is still very muddy as a new message tells us. A walker writes: "Just to confirm that Fryent Country Park is still very water logged".

This walker wouldn’t recommend anyone to go unless in wellies. There is lots of thick mud and standing water through the whole section (even on higher ground). She suggests that you should only try this section if you are a confident walker and not afraid of slipping.

May update: According to other walkers, this section is still as reported - very, very  muddy with waterlogged fields in the parts described above.  These walkers did manage in strong walking shoes though.
