A walker who had read our recent news item about the King George V lock gates sent us a report that her group crossed the gates on Friday 20th March. She suggested that the works were over and that the route is now open.
However, we have now contacted the Royal Docks and this is what we have learnt from the operations manager: there are three more weeks of diving work required. So the Capital Ring path will be closed on week days but open at weekends.
We are promised an update in three weeks to advise us about the status of the works.
