In May 2026 we reported that Boles Bridge is open so that there is nothing to stop walkers following the Capital Ring from crossing the River Brent at the north end of Brent Lodge Park. See the map on page 5 of our walk guidance for this section.
The bridge is still open (see image below) but southbound walkers passing the golf course on their way to Boles Bridge (see the lower part of the map on 6 of our guidance) will encounter the misleading sign shown in the other image. This can be ignored.
