The route of Section 18 turns right at the end of Godwin Close into Sewardstone Road. After 80 metres, it then crosses the road with care to the stile opposite Sewardstone Close.
Every Sunday from July to October, ground conditions permitting, the field on the other side of the stile is used as a car park for the Netherhouse Farm Car Boot Sale. If this is the case, do not cross over the stile, as cars drive at speed around this field and it is dangerous. Instead, proceed ahead up the track to the left of the field. Before the farm buildings yard, turn right along the outside of the sale site perimeter fence and follow it to the track at the end. Turn left onto the track but take care as it is narrow, and cars use it as an exit from the sale site.
At the end of the track turn right and continue the instructions in the TfL pdf guidance from: “Immediately after passing wooden posts on either side, turn left through a narrow gap between ridges of earth and felled tree stumps.”
