Ramblers volunteers have reviewed and corrected all the walk guidance for all 24 sections of the London Loop that can be downloaded from this web site. The new files of guidance have been published today.
As well as updating the details of the text and maps, the volunteers have researched and described several alternatives to the original route which were not feasible when the Loop was originally established. These attractive alternatives are not waymarked, but they often cut down significantly on the walking beside noisy roads which has been a regrettable feature of some sections.
The maps in our guidance have been enhanced to highlight more places of interest and to show more accurately the availability of refreshments and toilets. Please note, however, that the facilities available round the Loop do change quite frequently so we cannot guarantee that the information will still be correct when you use the guides. We recommend walkers to check on-line where possible.
The new PDFs, published today are in a form that can be accessed by screen readers to help walkers with impaired vision.
