A walker has reported that Pole Cat Alley, linking Hayes Station with Sections 3 and 4, is open so the warning in the message beween the dotted lines below no longer applies.

A walker who has just completed section 3 of the Loop has reported that right at the end of the walk, on the way to Hayes station, the path just past the entrance to Nash College as recommended on our route is currently closed.
Our image shows the sign where this path leaves the Croydon Road just past the entrance to Nash College.
It is relatively straightforward to get to the station by walking down Coney Hall Road to its junction with Bourne Way and walking round to the station.
This closure also affects walkers returning to the Loop from Hayes station to start section 4
Further intelligence from another walker tells us that the path (Pole Cat Alley) has been blocked off for underground pipe repairs. The notice said it was closed until 28 February so it should be open again soon.
