We have reported on the decayed state of a log bridge over a ditch in a series of news items on this web site. This bridge is mentioned in paragraph 7 on page 5 of our walk guidance for this section.
A recent report from a walker has let us know that the bridge has been replaced. The new wooden slatted bridge is perfectly sound. The photo below was taken Saturday 8 June.
This walker also tells us that her group did not experience any problems in the next field where a walker reported in October 2023 that the field edge was very overgrown and that there could be problems when crops were growing (which they were on 8 June).
