We have had good news from a walker who has recently walked section 15, from Hatch End who tells us that that the path that's described like this in paragraph 3 on page 4 of our walk guidance at the start ....
"for some time the official path has become impassable to Sylvia Avenue because it is totally overgrown with nettles and brambles."
...is now quite clear (if not exactly wheelchair-friendly) and far better than the swamp of a field that's recommended as an alternative. The whole path from Grimsdyke Road to the railway line seems to have had greenery cut back and is probably the only bit of the Loop this walker has seen since Banstead that's better than described in the route guide.
This is excellent news. A lot of work must have been done because this path was previously completely impenetrable.
