Walkers have alerted us to the fact that the path alongside the golf course and beside Puplet Wood is closed along its whole length.
There are barriers up at both ends. (See pages 9 and 10 of our walk guidance for this section.)
Annoyingly there are no signs prior to arriving at the affected point.

Surrey Council have told us that the route has been closed on the grounds of public safety due to resurfacing work taking place. The work has been delayed due to the recent wet weather. It currently has a 21 day closure dated from the 9th February 2026 , but the bridleway will opened earlier if the work is completed.
