As the picture below shows, this bridge over the Hogsmill is closed. This is at the southeast end of the Six Acre Meadow in Old Malden on the suggested alternative route along the river. This means that walkers have to take the original route via St John the Baptist church as shown by the map on page 6 of our guidance for this section.
