We have gathered from social-media reports that there is a bridge being repaired where the Loop approaches near Berrylands Station.
This is not a big problem. If walking clockwise, head a little to the left to reach a point close by where you can cross the river on a road bridge and pick up the route on the other side.
We do not know how long this repair will take. A message from a walker on 17 October reports little sign of any progress by that date.
