A walker has let us know that he found the notice below at the bridge over the Ingrebourne in Gaynes Park (see paragraph 1 on page 5 of our walk guidance). The bridge will be closed from 26 to 31 October for repairs.
This walker noticed that the entry and exit footpaths have both worn to create small steps at the bridge which is presumably what they will be repairing.
During the closure, walkers will have to make a short diversion by continuing along the path until it reaches Hacton Lane and then turning right along Hacton Lane to pick up the Loop again.
